In early 2001 Harmonious Discord releases starting appearing on record store shelves all across the globe with the double artist showcase (HD001- Litex- Unpossible). Eric Reeves aka Litex set the motion for years to come of original and obscure releases from a label that is often must grab for those in the know. Since then Eric has released under his own moniker, with Sean Anderson as Grey, and with Smight as Magic Shoe, covering a wide range of sound.

Eric joins us 8 years later to release a three track stereophonic dance-floor experience. Alongside production mate Asif Ahmed, Urban Gravity is known for their funk-filled bass-driven tech-house. Movement is a syncopated waist mover with hammer-tone bass licks and fluid synth motion. Parallel World is a conversation between precise harmonic textures. This selection has a big sound that increases in energy, a proper choice when upping the anti. Rising Groove leaves a more melodic footprint with tons of greatly structured synth accents and ominous sounding bass.

It's that time again!

Your pals at Kolour Recordings are back in the fold with another fresh batch of tunes for your audible untatainment.

For our 32nd digital installment we feature LuvLux - a Houston, TX native who makes his production debut with us. The vocals are provided by another Houston, TX native and personal friend of Kolour Recordings - Karina Nistal. Her vocal collaborations have been featured on such esteemed labels as Drop, Dust Trax, Jamayka, and now here at Kolour. For their collaboration debut, LuvLux and Karina turn out a very soulful affair with just the right amount of punch to keep a solid feel from start to finish.

For remix duties, we looked in a couple different directions to provide a taste of something for everyone's palettes. Kolour stalwart KiNK provides what can be termed as his best remix to date with his 'Daylight Dub' Since it's been far too long since his last Kolour appearance, we then reached out to Soul Fuel Recordings boss & 1/2 of the notorious Organized Crime duo Marcus Aurelius - who proves to us once again why he's one to watch moving forward. Last but certainly not least, the mysterious new-comer known only us as "Above Ground" .. comes through with a very lush mid-tempo affair perfect for those laid back smokey lounges.

The second part starts off with a new remix of Feeling's Can't Explain. At the helm is JP Phillippe of Disclosure Project fame. Along with his own production work he is also known as part of the prolific JP & Jones who have remixed for labels like Elevation, Pesto and Deep Class. His recent remix of Burnski appeared on the latest installment of the classic "Deep Train" mix series by The Timewriter. Next up is a remix of 'Flightpath' by Lucas Keizer, a man who's stock is fast rising thanks to an excellent string of releases on labels like Kolour Recordings, Opsina Digital and his own Homesick Recordings. After having his debut release on Body Rhythm Black recently Fabien Kamb now makes his way onto the main label to remix 'Coast To Coast'. Fabien is definitely one to watch in '09 with releases and remixes forthcoming on Onethirty, DeepClass and Elevation as well a great new EP on Body Rhythm Black. Last up is label boss Ross Couch who's currently busy working on an exciting project for the label!.
